  2. It's fascinating the amount of work and preparation that has to go into building a garden pond. I tried to install one in the late 80s but failed miserably and was left with a muddy hole for three years until I had time and motivation to fix it. It wasn't until 2008 that I finally kicked myself in the behind and got some professionals in to do the job properly (ukwaterfeatures.com,) but maximum kudos to those who have the patience and talent to do one themselves.
